Restaurant Ganesha in Regensburg

Best Indian food. I can only recommend my favorite dish Sabzi Kofta, I haven't seen it anywhere else. But everything tastes great and is plentiful - enough for two days: D In a larger group there is usually a starter on the house - always with pleasure!

We were treated like criminals despite being regular customers one day when we had no cash. A horrible intimidating gangster I had never seen before came out from the backroom to make sure I stayed in the restaurant while my boyfriend went for money. This would not happen in Ireland where I'm from. I won't be back. We started going to a different Indian restaurant in Regensburg and it is much nicer, just a little more expensive.

Good food with quality service

By far our favorite restaurant! We always order a thali because we want to try as much as possible! And one thing always tastes better than the other! I can only recommend it!

By far the best Indian restaurant we know. Authentic cuisine alternates with chefs from Inidien. SORRY, LIEFERANDO OFTEN INCORRECTLY SHOWS THAT A DELIVERY IS NOT POSSIBLE OR CLOSED - THAT'S NEVER TRUE AND THE BOSS ALWAYS GIVES YOU A LARGE COMPENSATORY DISCOUNT WHEN YOU EAT IN THIS CASE.

A treat, garlic soup, fried vegetables with chicken and rice. The light ginger taste rounds off the whole thing for a perfect feast. Then an Indian tea

Good Indian food

Definitely one of the best indian restaurants i ve been to. The veg biriyani here is amazing. It has become a tradition to eat it atleast once in a week.

Very, very good food, nice service, very large menu on which everyone can find something, huge portions, great value for money - what more could you want? Absolute recommendation!

Tasty food, flavorful, big portions and reasonably priced. Also good to take away! Nicely decorated inside, unfortunately, outside you sit directly on the street.

Quality and low prices can be combined! We had a delicious, inexpensive lunch. The point deduction is due to the taciturn (overloaded?) Service.

Best Indian food in Regensburg. Also the south indian option on some weekends are absolute delight.

Food is really amazing. I've been here multiple times and it's really good Indian food. The only issue is consistency of food. Sometimes the same dish tastes different. Perhaps a different chef but if I reorder a dish, I'm expecting a familiar taste. EDIT 14/08/2020 - Ganesha had a temporary menu of dosas and medu vadas this week. This selection was absolutely delicious. The sambar was very comforting and the chutneys were as authentic in taste as they could get in Europe. Highly recommended.

I was there on a Sunday at the end of July. There was a family buffet. There was a soup as a starter. At the buffet, an employee took over the serving function. Unfortunately everything tasted the same somehow. But the bread was really tasty. For € 11.90 you could really get full. There was also a dessert, a very sweet watermelon, probably with honey or some syrup. Definitely very cute. In my opinion, staff was overwhelmed. Maybe it was different before Corona. But I won't come any more.

Very good restaurant offering delicious Indian food. Most of the things we ordered were very nice and came in somehow decent portions. The Paneer Tikka Masala, Dal Maharani, Lamb Bhindi were exceptionally good. The downfalls were Achari Chicken that was very salty and the starter soup at the lunch menu that was overloaded with black pepper. The Maracuja Lassi was good. The service was very quick and also quite friendly. The restaurant has a big indoor and outdoor seating space. Definitely worth a bite.

Excellent, totally enjoy the experience. Food, drinks, music and staff was exceptional. From Feb 2019 to Dec 2019 i have visited this place nearly every week for dinner.

The food was super delicious and plentiful. The staff really friendly and despite masks tried very hard to explain everything to us. I felt very comfortable and would love to come back anytime.

Good indian restaurant

The armchairs are extremely comfortable and I think the distance between the seats is very adequate. There you don't get the feeling like eating cucumbers in a can at the back and front. This restaurant really has potential to become my new regular restaurant. The waiters are extremely charming and very authentic every time. That makes me completely happy with every visit. Try that good cooking room, there is something for everyone on the menu in the guideline.

The best Indian restaurant till date I've ever been to in Germany. The flavour of the food is very much close to those that we get in good restaurants in India. The rice served is not just plain white rice but is lemon rice, which is an even better combination with the delicious delicacies. The staff is friendly :) and of course their 'chai- ghar ki taraf se' just enlightens the spirit of compassion, reminiscing the memories of tea time at home :)

Nice food! For a change, it's an Indian restaurant that has a well designed ambience.

I only tried the buffet on Sunday. Totally worth the price and food quality is authentic Indian. Do check it out if you are in Regensburg and love Indian food 😉

Very nice and family friendly. Did not know that Regensburg has such nice Indian food!!!

We were greeted by an Indian lady from Punjab Ms. Mandeep. She was very sweet and humble. She served us and talked with us. She made us very comfortable. She was very good in her work. We ordered sea food thali and it was pretty Awesome. We didn't like the rice though. It was bit undercooked. Overall our experience was good. We will recommend it.

An amazing experience with excellent Food. Extremely organised clean and wonderful atmosphere. I will highly recommend to students as well families or gatherings that don’t miss it.

Good food for a good price. Went there for the Sunday buffet. It’s quite popular, so if you aren’t coming early, better reserve a table.

Since the move I have unfortunately not been able to get married very often. So I really miss the taste in Ganesha. The spices are really great. I will definitely be back.

One of the best Indian Restaurant in Regensburg. Taste, Service really awesome.

1. Waiting staff was least concerned regarding requests, forgetful and rude. 2. Buffet was good value for money. Bread, rice and fritters were cold throughout. 3. Overall ambience was not enjoyable coz of bad and unprofessional service. 4. Complimentary rice which comes with à la carte was of very poor quality and inedible.
